My Connection

The main character of the book I am reading has to work by going into large rusty ships to find any types of precious metals so he can sell them to the highest payer. And although this isn't much of a connection, my dad and I would go always try to fix up old motorcycles and make them run like new. We'd always be tinkering with small engines and going through junkyards to buy little old parts to put on the new bikes to make them run like new. My dad and I would always fix up anything that broke down around the house, whether it was the old lawnmower that broke down to if the car wasn't running right. We found out that almost anything can be fixed with just some patience and a little looking around for new parts. That is my connection with the story if youcould call it that.

Blog BLOCKING WHYYYY

So here I am stuck with nothing to think of. I wish there was something deep and smart to say that would make me look intellectual. Sitting in my bed with the tv on in the background trying to force something out of me so I don't get a bad grade on this assignment. The bed is so comfy I wish I could just fall asleep and not have a single thought of this blog in my mind. What should I type? What should it be about? These are the questions I ask myself every Thursday night and it usually comes to me relatively quick, but here I am stuck thinking about what to0 write. It's been thirty minutes and still nothing is on my screen accept for maybe a title that could quite possibly have nothing to do with the subject I am going to write about. Oh what will I do, I guess I could write about how I have nothing to write about, oh look a blog.

SPARKNOTES ARE USELESS

Ok, so after I looked up the spark notes on my book I realized how much they rob you of the whole experience the author is trying to give you as a reader. While I was reading the book I can see the image the author was trying to describe. After reading the spark notes I saw that there was no detail no suspense. There is no reason to read the spark notes instead of the book if you're trying to actually enjoy the book. Sure if you are trying to study for a quiz or test these can be useful. They are a blank layout of the plot that happens in each chapter. I like to read books for the pleasure of reading not just to find out what happens in the end or else I would always go to spark notes. So in the end if you like to read and you have the time just open the book and read it the old fashioned way, BY ACTUALLY READING IT!
