Last Blog lolololololololololololol
Ok so this is my last blog for the entire year. I can safely say I will never ever come back to this blog ever again. No more blog block, no more reading books I don't like. This has been the first book that I haven't had a lot of trouble writing these blogs. I could really connect with the character of this book because she is in high school and I am in high school. I can relate to it because I have been through some of the things she has. Maybe not the guy popping a boner or her dad beating her family. But on some of the other things, yeah I can fully relate to several things that she has to experience. I want to never ever again get on this god awful website and post anything about blogs. But I enjoyed doing these blogs lol =P

High school sports
In this book Anke joins the high school volleyball team and she has a great time even though she is living in constant fear because she was disobeying her dad by playing volleyball. While being a part of this team she learns how to be loud and proud of what she believes in. this helps her speak her mind in the end which saves her whole family from the evilness of her abusive father. By disobeying her father she builds up the courage to speak out against his rain of terror. By playing this sport she has confidence and has the courage to stand up to her father. When I started playing football I got bigger faster and stronger. This gave me more confidence and helped me be the person I am today. I would never trade my years of football for anything. I enjoyed the people I played with and I enjoyed getting bigger and building my confidence. In the end sports helped me with a lot of things and made me a better person overall.
High school CULTURE shock
In the story Anke experiences sort of a culture shock while entering high school as a freshmen. she has been introduced to a new chapter in her life. While this chapter can be scary to some people it is one of the most dramatic changes in a young person's life. I have been in high school for 3 years and i am about to enter my senior year and then after that I will be going off to college. I have completely changed personalities in the past 3 years. Everyone around me has completely changed. when someone is exposed to high school it can change them in many different ways. Some ways can be bad and can tear apart relationships with people you love and your friends. In this book Anke learns a lot about life and finally after growing up a little she sees the world around her and decides to do something about it. Anke made a change for the better a matured enough to know that what she saw around her was bad and do something about it. Although her change may have hurt her physically, she helped out her entire family by standing up for what she knew was right.

Thankful for Loving Family
I just wanted to say that I am thankful that I have a family that loves me and has always been there to help me get through everything so far. Abuse is such a terrible thing and is nothing to take lightly. This horrible thing affects so many people every year. This sort of trauma can scar kids for the rest of their lives and even cause them to be abusive to their kids. This problem will only get bigger and bigger while there is nothing to stop it from happening. Kids are afraid to say anything to anyone because they are scared of being beat even more. other kids are afraid to tell anyone about there abusive parents because even though they might be abusive, the kids may still love them because they have always been there and the kids have always seen them as their parents. To summarize, abuse is a terrible thing and has to be taken care of immediately. I am also very thankful that my family has always been the loving supportive family that everyone needs and deserves.

Introduction to 4th quarter Book: Because I Am Furniture"
Ok so it's time for my last introduction of a new book, FINALLY. I am actually surprised how easy it was to read this book. It didn't really have that many words in it so it was a really short story. Although the story was short I still felt like I always needed to keep reading the book and I felt like the story really got me hooked. It only took a couple of days to completely get through the book and I really enjoyed the story because it was filled with drama and suspense. This has, so far, been my favorite book to read. It has been the easiest book to read.
This story is about a girl, Anke, who is stuck in a home with her abusive father, her mother, brother, and sister. Her father is always getting angry at anything. He beats Anke's brother, sister, and mother regularly. Anke is the only one who gets ignored, but she feels like this has made her the only one who can see that this is wrong. The other people in the house are numb to the abuse and don't stand up for themselves. Anke finds her voice after disobeying her father and trying out for volleyball. With this new found voice Anke stands up for everyone in the house....

My Connection
The main character of the book I am reading has to work by going into large rusty ships to find any types of precious metals so he can sell them to the highest payer. And although this isn't much of a connection, my dad and I would go always try to fix up old motorcycles and make them run like new. We'd always be tinkering with small engines and going through junkyards to buy little old parts to put on the new bikes to make them run like new. My dad and I would always fix up anything that broke down around the house, whether it was the old lawnmower that broke down to if the car wasn't running right. We found out that almost anything can be fixed with just some patience and a little looking around for new parts. That is my connection with the story if youcould call it that.
